JVC ASIAN BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2002

The JVC Asian Badminton Championships is Asia's premier badminton championships.  Held every year, the event features top Asian players in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. With most of the world's top players coming from Asia, the event's champions are often the World Champions as well. Players also gain valuable Olympic qualifying points through their results at the Asian Badminton Championships.  This year's event is being held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Format
All participants qualify through their previous performances, then a knock-out format is played at the Championships

Nationally and across the Asian region on ESPN/STAR TV as well as on terrestrial stations across Asia (e.g. China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, etc.)
