In 1999, JVC together with IMG launched the website in order to provide more regular information about the major events taking place in Asian Badminton. In its inaugural year in 1999, the site was viewed by more than 200,000 badminton fans throughout Asia from July through December. The site focused on events occurring in Asia throughout that period with a special emphasis on the JVC Asian Badminton Championships (Kuala Lumpur, September) and the JVC Asia Cup (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).
