JVC and IMG today announced the upgrading of the www.jvc-badminton.com website. In 1999, JVC together with IMG launched the website in order to provide more regular information about the major events taking place in Asian Badminton. In its inaugural year in 1999, the site was viewed by more than 200,000 badminton fans throughout Asia from July through December. The site focused on events occurring in Asia throughout that period with a special emphasis on the JVC Asian Badminton Championships (Kuala Lumpur, September) and the JVC Asia Cup (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).

jvc asian rankings In 1999, IMG and JVC jointly founded the JVC Asian Badminton Rankings which followed Asia's top stars throughout the year to determine the top seeds at the JVC Asian Badminton Championships. This year, IMG and JVC will again present the Asian Rankings weekly on the website. Players who end the season #1 on the list and appear at the JVC Asian Championships received JVC stereo products. This year, each player who ends up the season in the top spot will receive products from JVC as well as USD 1,000! We invite all players, coaches and fans to follow the ranking process online from now through the event and give us your input as to who you think will end the season in the top position!
